i'm talking Daddy, what will I get...?

Reward system. Ha ha, next time maybe they will ask something in return if they blink their eyes...

23 May 2009

kids do have answers to their questions...

I stopped giving made-up answers to their silly questions since they've learned to create their own made-up versions.

Daddy, teacher say shorter hair is nicer...

Thirty bucks, that's how much I can save every time I cut my two boys' hair. I bought electric hair clipper but they don't like the brrrrring sound of it. So it's always like, "ey! look there!", then I will quickly cut on the safe side using the traditional barbers' scissors and thin comb. Sometimes mommy, grandma, and aunt are all together helping to hold their head still. But no matter how we do, they will always end up with a messed-up but at least shorter hair.

They gave you uncalled answer and yet you smile...

"Ei boy, please enough playing your PSP, you must study and read your books. You agreed, after an hour you'll read your Kid's Dictionary, your Animal book, your Yamaha homework and your Chinese book. Ey, you haven't touched those since morning..., what?"

Do they know your real name...??

Digital coloring courtesy of "By2naz".

In my parent's neighborhood where I grew up, some people don't want to hear their real name. Some prefer not to be called using anything else while some love to respond only to their preferred nicknames. I remember you can actually upset someone by using his real name. Anyway, let me share with you some of the common tags/nicknames and salutations that we used to avoid first name basis calling.

1) Amapo - father
2) Inaypo - mother
3) Tutoy/Utoy - small boy (Totoy is abbr. of Butotoy)
4) Ineng - small girl
5) Tukmol - smaller boy that can't hit you back
6) Brenda - Bernardo

A lot more..., ey in few weeks time Amapo is coming over, my name will be changed to Idwen.

you can keep talking, but kids will learn by themselves...

...since then, Elnot must at least smell my beer or wine before he go away from it.

I will try to spend all these savings away...

Four months passed since I planned I'll do something to trim down my tummy. Yes, four months and I still got the same shape, the shape that always get me noticed, ha ha ha (u-lol). Okay, my tummy line is less 40inches and here's the plan: 1) I will save a spare 50bucks in 3-mos time, 2) and I will do all physical exercises I know to slim it down to at least 34inches or else my friend will take my 50bucks... hmmnn, yeah, not really a big deal...

Notes:
1) 30 mins fast cycling every morning (Pasir Park)
2) juggles my dumbbells every other day after work
3) 30 mins walking with my wife every other day after dinner (maybe I'll carry her)
4) 50 kms cycling to East Coast with Tolits & Rolan (every weekend)
5) eat less fatty foods
6) eat more fruits and vegetables

Correction: My tummy don't have nipple...

Most violated Daddy's rules:
1) Don't fight with your brother.
2) Don't eat on the bed.
3) Don't play in front of Daddy's TV.

Swollen lips, broken sounds...

When we were little boys, barrio fiesta was one of the most awaited time of the year. In my hidden barrio, fiesta could mean a lot of happenings - Flores de Mayo, dance parties, drinking sessions, amateur singing contests, lots of foods, lots of relatives and friends, people from other places, perya, sarswela, and many other interesting things. Most of them enjoyed by more matured folks, but us kids, we will patiently wait for the marching band, we will then follow behind, and there playing our own newly created instrument. Real fun.

I had wished I was born with longer legs...

The bigger boys always got the faster horse, ha ha ha, we also make the sound of the footsteps. I can almost imagine the real thing..., the slowing down footsteps followed by neigh mimicking shout then the bursting snorts... ha ha ha, crazy boys.

Be careful to smash my eyeglasses...

Go on, you can smash my eyeglasses but I could still see you to smash your ass. I can still remember the pride whenever I could make a perfect fit. Through these materials we can also do rings, whips, square balls, sun-hat, and many more...
