I heard them calling this as "Lagundrina" and I stick to this name. I'm not sure if it's actually "La Curtina" or "di kurtina". This is my favorite kite. "Lagundrina" (ballpen > drawing paper)
when i was a kid, we called this kite as Lagundrina. I am from San Pablo, and it usually called the same name with the kite builder and flyer in the barangay of Santiago 1 and 2, San Bartolome and Bautista as well as San Gregorio in Alaminos Laguna. I am not sure if it called also the same in the rest of barangay of san pablo. There are some kite style names such as Binuwan(crescent tailed kite)Sarangola(quite similar to binuwan but it is like a half moon tailed), double body, and eneroplano(airplane like tailed). It throws me back during my childhood days and competing with the other flyers with the size(the bigger the better), style, kind of strings, how high it can fly and its ability to fight the wind of the summer.
